π What is the FMCSP?
Launched in August 2024, the FMCSP aims to attract French-speaking international students to Canadaβs Francophone minority communities. It supports Canadaβs commitment to grow and sustain French-language populations across the country.
β Who is Eligible?
To apply under FMCSP, you must:
- Be a citizen of an eligible country (see list below)
- Submit your application from outside Canada
- Demonstrate French language proficiency (NCLC level 5 or higher)
- Hold a letter of acceptance from a participating Designated Learning Institution (DLI), stating itβs under FMCSP
- Prove you have enough funds for tuition, living expenses, and return travel
- Undergo a medical exam and possibly provide a police certificate

π Academic Program Requirements
To qualify under FMCSP, your study program must:
- Be post-secondary, full-time, and at least two years in duration
- Lead to a degree or diploma
- Be taught at least 50% in French

Yes! Your spouse/common-law partner and dependant children may be eligible to:
- Apply for visitor visas
- Get open work permits (for spouse/partner)
- Obtain study permits (for school-aged children)
Ensure their applications are submitted through your IRCC account and include proof of your FMCSP application.
